Centred text is really only good for headlines and short paragraphs of text. This is because without a straight left edge, our eyes have to work much harder to find where each line starts. The more lines there are the harder that gets.
- If you use centred text, keep it to between 1-4 lines only.
- Line lengths should also be kept short so they remain readable.
- Try to match your sub-headings with paragraph’s alignment, when in the same section of content.
